Ribes de Freser

Ribes is accesible from Barcelona by:

• Train: line R3 from L'Hospitalet de Llobregat - Puigcerdà (via Vic) pdf link link .
  There are train stops at Barcelona - Sants and Barcelona - Pl. Catalunya, among others.

• Road: 137 km (1h 40min - 2h10min) from the Barcelona Airport T1 to Ribes de Freser railway station link .

There are two rack railway stations at Ribes de Freser:

• Ribes-Vila, at the center of town link

• Ribes-Enllaç, connected to R3 train line from Barcelona link

Please bear in mind that there are few R3 line trains to Ribes de Freser and that they take about 2h 30min from Barcelona, with possible delays (see train schedule below for 24/5/2022). Check that you can arrive in time to Ribes de Freser to get at least the one-before last rack railway train, just in case.

If you drive from Barcelona airport, also schedule your trip with enough spare time to be able to get the one-before last rack railway train even if you find some traffic jam. Take into account that you need some time to park your car and walk from the parking place to the train station.
